YAKIMA — Two men and a woman stole a Honda Accord from a 41-year-old man at gunpoint late Monday, Yakima police said.
The man told police he was driving near Union Street and Chestnut Avenue when a blue pickup cut him off, forcing him to a stop. The two men, armed with handguns, approached the car and then drove away with the victim.
He was assaulted before managing to escape near Interstate 82 and Firing Center Road.
The suspects left with the car, which has so far not been located.
The 1999 Accord is a black four-door with Washington license 807-TSS.
The male suspects were 18 to 20 years old and dressed in red. The victim believed they were gang members, police said. No description was available for the woman, who was driving the older blue Chevrolet pickup.
The man was treated at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital for cuts and bruises to his face and head.
