Cheryl Ann Day-McPherson

Cheryl Ann Day-McPherson, 60, of Yakima died Monday at Garden Village.

Mrs. Day-McPherson was born in Yakima. She worked in the airplane manufacturing industry.

Survivors include her mother, Margaret Day of Selah; a son, Brian Rice of Everett, Wash.; two daughters, Tally Glines and Sherra Dawn McPherson, both of Selah; a brother, Nick Day of Yakima; a sister, Carl Waterbury of Yakima; and four grandchildren.

At her request, there will be no services.

Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima, is in charge of arrangements.

 

David Graff

David Graff, 83, of Spokane died Saturday.

Mr. Graff was born in Lincoln, Neb., and served in the Navy during World War II. He had lived in Montana, Washington state and then Portland, where he worked in the shipyards. After the service he returned to Washington state and worked his first job with Matt Kegele Orchards. He then worked 40 years in construction, moving and seeing most of the 50 states. He did some logging and retired from Graff and Sons Construction in 1995.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; three sons, Tom Graff, David "Bun" Graff and Michael Graff; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery.

 

Leroy Invold Kringen

Leroy Invold Kringen, 95, of Yakima died Monday.

Mr. Kringen was born in Pierre, S.D.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Kringen of Yakima; a daughter, Renee McLenegan of Oak Harbor, Wash.; a brother, Duane Kringen of Northfield, Minn.; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in West Hills Memorial Park.

 

Opal Elaine Square-Briggs

Opal Elaine Square-Briggs, 87, of Yakima died Tuesday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Square-Briggs was born in Ontario, Canada, and moved to Yakima in 1957. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Square-Briggs and Randy Square-Briggs, both of Yakima; a daughter, Karlene Gill of Kentucky; a sister, Marjorie Wilson of Vancouver, British Columbia, a brother, Godfrey Giroux of Penticton, British Columbia; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

At her request, there will be no services.

Sherry A. Wilson

Sherry A. Wilson, 63, of Yakima died Nov. 24 at home.

She was born in Holdenville, Okla., and moved to the Lower Yakima Valley in the mid-1950s. She owned rental properties and an antique store in Selah for several years. She moved from Selah to Yakima and was a Realtor for Caldwell Banker Real Estate until the time of her death.

Survivors include her mother, Louella Parsons of Holdenville, Okla.

A memorial mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Cathedral. A reception will follow at the Yakima Valley Museum.

Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Deborah Jean Wright

Deborah (Debbie) Jean Wright, 49, of Yakima died Nov. 25 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Wright was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., and moved to Yakima in the late 1970s. She worked at Yakima Valley School in Selah as an attendant counselor. She later lived in San Diego, where her husband served on active duty in the Navy for 15 years.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Alan Wright of Yakima; a son, Francis L. Chartrand of Wenatchee; a daughter, Rashawna (Shawna) Wright of Yakima; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Dec. 13 at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel.

 

Louise Alice Kurz

Louise Alice Kurz, 76, of Yakima died Thursday.

Mrs. Kurz was born and raised in Yakima. She lived in Richland for 18 years before returning to Yakima. She was a fruit warehouse worker for several years.

Survivors include three sons, David Kurz of Yakima, Larry Kurz of Fortworth, Texas, and Allan Kurz of Kennewick; a sister, Elouise Amos of Kingston, Wash.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.
