* A Page 1A story on community banks Monday did not have complete information on all the banks in the area with four- or five-star ratings. Chase, the consumer and commercial banking arm of JPMorgan Chase, earned four stars from BauerFinancial Inc. JPMorgan Chase purchased Washington Mutual in September.

* A Home Front story Wednesday about applicants for the Yakima City Council misspelled Maureen Adkison's name. It also had incorrect information about Councilman Norm Johnson's resignation letter and the application deadline. Johnson's letter was submitted Tuesday, and the deadline was noon Wednesday.

* A "Dirty Jobs" television episode depicting the hops industry in the Yakima Valley is being broadcast several times between today and next week. A Home Front story Wednesday reported days and times, but those may vary depending on your cable provider. Check with your local provider for the correct times.

* In a Nov. 25 story on Super Bowl advertisers, The Associated Press imprecisely quoted NBC Sports' Brian Walker on companies expressing their advertising goals. Walker's full quote: "We're hearing from a lot of companies that this is a time to show strength and confidence in their brands in a challenging economy." The story omitted "that" from the quote.
The story also should have said that only some Super Bowl spots sell for about $3 million each, not that all those sold so far went for that amount.
And the story should have noted it was at the request of advertisers that NBC didn't provide details on companies that have bought ad time during the Super Bowl broadcast.
