ELLENSBURG — A Bothell, Wash., woman was killed in a two-car crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 90 outside of Ellensburg.
Investigators said the driver, 32-year-old Sunshine Fisher, was traveling too fast for the icy conditions.
The crash happened about 6:35 a.m. three miles west of Ellensburg.
Fisher was headed east when her Ford Crown Victoria crossed through the median and hit a Saturn in the westbound lanes, according to a news release from the Washington State Patrol.
The Saturn’s driver, Krzsztof Komorowski, 50, of Cle Elum, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with multiple broken bones.
A passenger in the Ford car, 22-year-old Harmony Fisher of Duvall, Wash., was taken to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital in Ellensburg to be checked for possible broken bones.
All three occupants were wearing their seat belts, troopers said.
Both cars were destroyed.
