PROSSER -- The Prosser Library will be temporarily closed this week as crews install a new heating system, Mid-Columbia Library officials said.
Library employees were trying to use portable heaters to keep the building warm until the work was done but it became too cold, said Danielle Krol, Mid-Columbia Library executive director.
The library may reopen next Monday. Updates will be posted at the library’s Web site. www.midcolumbialibraries.org.
Prosser owns the building and the council agreed in September to spend up to $89,900 on the heating system and a new roof.
