CM Holtzinger Fruit Co. has promoted Scott Hanses to vice president. Hanses, who has been in the fresh fruit industry for 30 years, has been serving as the company's director of sales.

Finance

Catholic Credit Union has hired Maria Martinez as a bilingual mortgage loan officer.

Martinez, who was originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, has several years of experience. She has lived in the United States for 18 years, and moved to Yakima three years ago.

Education

Perry Technical Institute has hired several new staff members.

It has hired Jay Wellner as an instructor in its machine technology program, Glenn Maxwell as a faculty member in the automotive technology program, and Todd Thomas as a journeyman in the electrical technology program.

Wellner, a Toppenish native, graduated from the machine technology program in 1992. He started working at Irwin Research & Development during his years at Perry and remained there until accepting the teaching position.

Maxwell, who was raised in Gleed, graduated from Perry's automotive technology program in 2006. He previously worked as an automotive technician at Hahn Motor Co.

Thomas, who was born in Yakima, graduating from Perry's electrical technology program in 2000. He worked as a plant electrician at Del Monte before starting his own electrical contracting business, Diversified Electric.

Health

Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health has hired Megan Kelly as director of Two Rivers Landing, a new youth evaluation and treatment facility now under construction. Kelly, who was born and raised in Rochester, N.Y., worked as the clinical director at Children's Home in northern New York for the past eight years and at the Berkshire Center and Services for Youth, with offices throughout New York state, holding a variety of positions including case manager, family therapist and manager of community services.

Kelly has an undergraduate degree from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y. and a master's in social work from Syracuse University.
