Agriculture
The Yakima Farm Bureau has selected new board members and officers. Officers are Gene Jenkins of Selah, president; Sue Olson of Gleed, first vice president; Bob St. Hilaire of White Swan, second vice president; Steve George of Moxee, secretary; and Heinz Humann of Wapato, treasurer.
New members are Justin Waddington of Harrah, Steve Knight of Naches and Don Young of Sunnyside.
Law
Best Lawyers has named Yakima personal injury attorney Dennis L. Fluegge to its The Best Lawyers in America list. This is the 20th year that Fluegge, of Meyer, Fluegge and Tenney, has been named to the list. Fewer than 1 percent of all attorneys nationwide are selected for the list.
Nonprofit
RBC Wealth Management's Volunteer Involvement Program has awarded Dave Dion with the Dick McFarland Volunteer of the Year Award. Dion, who works as a financial associate at the company's Yakima office, received the award for his involvement in several community organizations, including serving on boards for the Perry Technical Foundation, the Wellness House and the Yakima Schools Foundation.
The award, which is named for the former chairman and CEO of the company, includes a $1,000 donation to Dion's charity of choice, the Yakima Schools Foundation.
Real estate
The Washington Association of Realtors has awarded Cheri Daniels the GRI designation. Daniels, a real estate agent with Lakemont Real Estate, earned the designation by completing three 30-hour classes that cover every facet of real estate practice.
Lakemont Real Estate has hired Michaelene Jackson as a sales agent. Jackson has several years of real estate investment and property management, which includes remodeling homes with her husband.
Tourism
InnVentures Management Company has selected Lisa Vallejo as Manager of the Year. Vallejo, food and beverage director of the Hilton Garden Inn, is one of five managers selected for the award. The selection was made by other managers working in hotels operated by the Seattle company.
