YAKIMA -- Mike Longton made it 2-for-2 in the Fall Classic on Saturday night.
The Moxee driver will go for the clean sweep this afternoon at Yakima Speedway.
One day after winning the Fall Classic's Race of Champions, Longton captured the Limited Late Model main event Saturday night.
Just as he did on Friday, Longton dominated his latest race, easily winning the 125-lap main Limited Late Model main.
Erick Hargraves was second to Longton for the second straight day, with Naima Lang closing fast to take third Saturday.
After the race, Longton told the crowd that he's confident he can cap his weekend with a victory in today's 200-lap Late Model final.
"As long as I have no part failures," said Longton, who will start on the pole today after topping Saturday's qualifying. "I feel very strong in this car and our setup is right on."
Also Saturday, the Hobby Stock main was run, with Randy Marshall besting Mel Patnode in the 60-lap race.
Today's racing begins at 1 p.m. with the 75-lap Street Stocks final, followed by the Late Models.
Saturday's results and today's Late Model lineup are in Scoreboard, Page 2D.
