CF Fresh, an organic produce firm in Sedro-Woolley, Wash., recently hired Dan Davis as production coordinator in Yakima. Davis previously worked as general manager of Allan Brothers Inc., where he oversaw the daily operations of its apple and cherry packing facility.

 

Food

The Culinary Institute of America and the Culinary Enrichment and Innovation Program Review Panel have selected Greg Masset to be a member of the inaugural class for the Culinary Enrichment and Innovation Program. Masset, winemaker and co-owner of Masset Winery and executive chef at the Yakima Country Club, was one of 16 chosen to attend the program, which will have participants attending four highly intense three-day sessions at the CIA's Hyde Park Campus in New York over the course of 18 months.

 

Insurance

Abel Marichalar Jr. recently joined Northwest Insurance/Mckinney Agency as an agent. He will remain as a mortgage loan officer for AmericaWest Financial.

 

Law

The Beasley School of Law of Temple University in Philadelphia has hired Yakima attorney William D. Pickett as an adjunct faculty member. Pickett will teach in the trial advocacy master's degree program. Pickett is a sole practitioner in Yakima whose practice includes civil rights, medical malpractice and personal injury law.
