GOLDENDALE -- This motor-sports-crazed city is gearing up for its annual Festival of Wheels.
The three-day event features a wide array of loosely connected wheeled events, including lawnmower dragsters, four-wheel-drive competitions, live music and bicycle rides.
It comes just two weeks after the city hosted a downhill skateboard and street luge championship.
Schedules and locations vary on Friday, Saturday and Sunday around the Goldendale area.
One of the highlights of the weekend is the “Outlaw Lawn Dragsters,” riding lawn-mowers souped up to go 60 miles per hour. Also, tricked-out dune buggies and pickups will climb boulders up to 10 feet tall at the rock crawl playday.
Elsewhere are motorcycle rallies, dirt bike races and live entertainment.
