BASKETBALL: The Yakima Flight seventh-grade boys and third-grade girls AAU teams will be conducting tryouts in the near future for the upcoming season. For more details, please contact yakimaflight@yahoo.com or call 972-4583.
HORSESHOE: The Pacific Northwest Open tournament will be held at Elks Memorial Park on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Men, women, seniors, and juniors from Washington, Oregon and Idaho will compete. Sunnyside will host a warm-up tournament on Friday. For more information, call Ken Carvo at 966-4190.
SOFTBALL: Yakima Stealers will hold tryouts for their 2009 18-U and 16-U teams at 2 p.m. on Sept. 28 at YVCC's Dunbar Field.
