Sunnyside presence on Sunny's show

How did that cherry get on your plate?

Find out Sunday on the Food Network when two managers from Sunnyside's Valley Processing explain in the ins-and-outs of cherry juice to host Sunny Anderson.

Terry Bliesner and Charlie Meyers of Valley Processing are featured in an episode of "How'd That Get on My Plate," a relatively new show about how technology can take simple raw ingredients and transform them into favorite foods.

Bliesner and Meyers take viewers on a journey from the cherry on the tree to pies, energy drinks, maraschinos and dried fruit.

Bliesner, 37, said the producers called Valley Processing out of the blue and filmed on location in early July. "We walked them through the entire process," Bliesner said.

"It was fun. It did take a lot of time, but it's good exposure for us."

There was a disappointment, though. The host didn't make it to the shoot though she did appear on segments about other food items, like Marie Callender's pies.

"We were the only location that did not get Sunny to come to Sunnyside."
