GRANGER — A man was severely burned by hot grease from a cooking fire that damaged a travel trailer in Granger late Saturday, city firefighters said.
The fire in the 800 block of Guzman Avenue was reported shortly before midnight Saturday.
The sequence of events was unclear, but the man was badly burned on the chest by the grease, Granger fire Chief Ken Shipman said. The fire damaged the interior of the trailer, which was parked outside a house.
The man, whose name and age were not released, was taken to a Yakima hospital. Shipman could not confirm whether he was transferred to another facility from there.
