How good is your menudo?
Folks in Granger are already prepping for next month’s annual Washington State Menudo Festival, which keeps growing every year, organizers say, as more people shed their culinary baggage and try the traditional spicy Mexican soup made with tripe. That’s stomach.
Hmm, what’s the best wine to pair with that?
The festival is Sept. 14 at the dinosaur park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Anyone who wants to enter their menudo should call the Granger Chamber of Commerce at 509-854-7304. Registration costs $35. Cash prizes go to the top three winners.
