A 26-year-old Yakima man died early Saturday after crashing a motorcycle on Old Inland Empire Road in Prosser.
Gustavo Ramirez Vargas was wearing a helmet and other protective gear when he failed to negotiate a curve at Hess Road.
According to a Benton County Sheriff's Office report, Vargas struck a guardrail with the 2006 Suzuki motorcycle. He was airlifted to Kennewick's Kadlec Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The crash happened just after midnight. No other details were immediately available.
