ELLENSBURG -- Dan Stanovich pitched a complete-game four-hitter and Matt Herbert drove in three runs as Ellensburg battered Ephrata 14-3 in a CWAC baseball game Tuesday on the Bulldogs' diamond.
The victory improved Ellensburg to 3-0 in league play.
Ahead 3-1 through 21/2 innings, the Bulldogs blew the game wide open with a 10-run third inning.
Stanovich struck out seven and also tripled in three at bats. Ethan Sterkel singled, doubled and drove in a run and Kevin Thompson and Jeremy Rossow added two RBI each.
