to the Editor
The Herald-Republic welcomes letters
from our readers. To be considered for publication, letters
must be no more than 200 words and may be edited for grammar and clarity. Longer letters, up to 500 words, will appear on yakimaherald.com.
You must sign your full name and include your street address (although only your city will be printed) as well as a daytime phone number for verification. Letter should be on topics of general interest to readers in the Yakima Valley and in good taste; letters that defame individuals, ethnic or religious groups, quote extensively from another printed source or that contain significant factual errors will not be published. Community thank-you letters are pubished on Saturday. Writers are limited to one published letter per calendar month.
Election letters deadline
The Oct. 27 deadline for letters relating to the Nov. 4 general election has passed. Election letters are no longer being accepted.
