Raul M. Sanchez Jr., longtime resident of Granger, WA passed away on September 2nd at the age of 66. Raul was a devoted husband of 48 years to Alicia Sanchez. He is also survived by his children, John Raul Sanchez, Ana and Roy Horseman, Alex Sanchez, Richard and Jaime Sanchez, Crystal Sanchez, Laura Sanchez and John Crosby,(Clarissa and Richard Flores, Sonya Sanchez and Isaac Guillen) and Briton Soliz; siblings, Gilbert and Stella Lugo, Jesse Sanchez, Margie and Julio Martinez, Maria Jimenez; 22 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; along with numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

After retiring as a truck driver for over 30 years, Raul loved to spend time outdoors, camping, enjoying family BBQs, visiting and spending time with friends and working on his beautiful yard and garden. He also enjoyed listening to Tejano and oldies music and reading western books.

Raul was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother, Jesusita Martinez; brother, Jose Lugo; uncles, Cristobal and frank Martinez; mother-in-law, Josefina Alegria; grandson, Dallas Sanchez and niece, Maria Castro. We will all miss you always and forever. Te amo.

Visitation will be held from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday September 7, 2010 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah. Recitation of the rosary will be held at 6pm on Tuesday at Our lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Granger. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday September 8, 2010 at 12:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Granger. Burial will follow in the Zillah Cemetery.
