  <body>Steward &amp; Williams Tribute Center&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;ELLENSBURG - Jerry David Rossow, age 72, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 surrounded by his family.      &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jerry was born on August 12, 1936 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Yakima, Washington to Victor and Dorothy (Besancon)     Rossow. He was raised and educated in Ellensburg, where he attended Lourdes Academy and graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1955. After attending Central Washington State College for a year, he moved to Seattle and worked for Boeing as a draftsman. During that time, he met Shirley Milosevich, and they were married in St. James Cathedral on October 11, 1959. In 1960 they moved to Quincy, Washington where Jerry was employed as a route driver for       Eddie's Bread. Jerry left the bread route in 1968 to become a plant supervisor at Lamb Weston. A year later he moved his family back to Ellensburg and went into business with his brother Dick when they purchased Rossow's Campus U-Tote-Em. He spent 21 years in business before selling it in 1991. He loved owning the U-Tote-Em, and made a lifetime of friends and memories along the way.      &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jerry was an active member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. He had many interests and especially enjoyed golfing, and actively followed CWU and EHS sporting events. He was a member of the chain gang at EHS and CWU football games for many years, and enjoyed several trips to Kansas City to cheer on the Wildcat basketball team. He took great pleasure in watching his grandchildren participate in sports and various activities. He was very proud of all of his grandchildren.      &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jerry is survived by his wife Shirley of 50 years, his children Vicki (Bill) Elkins, Dave (Lisa)       Rossow, Dan Rossow, and Mike (Shelli) Rossow and grandchildren Stephanie, Kevin, Matt, Jeremy,   Shelby, Michael, Cassie and Nathan. His brother Dick (Jackie), sister     Marcia Cox, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Dorothy.      &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Arrangements are under the care of Steward &amp; Williams Tribute Center. A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 5, from 3 pm - 6 pm with rosary service to follow at 6:30 pm at Steward &amp; Williams Tribute Center. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, July 6 at 11:00 am at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Ellensburg. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.      &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Friends, 401 E. Mountain View Ave #3, Ellensburg, WA 98926; or St. Andrews Building Fund, 401 S Willow Street, Ellensburg, WA 98926.</body>
