Elizabeth L. Christensen
Elizabeth Lawson Christensen, 69, of Union Gap died Tuesday. Mrs. Christensen was born in Spokane.
Survivors include a brother, Edward Lawson of Lake Forest Park, Wash.
A private family gathering is planned at a later date. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.
Salvador G. Ramos
Salvador Garibay Ramos, 82, of Grandview died Monday at Prosser Memorial Hospital. Mr. Ramos was born in Michoacan, Mexico, and lived in Grandview. He was a farm worker.
Survivors include a daughter, Anita Garibay of Mabton; four sons, Jesus Garibay of Grandview, Luis Garibay of Baja, Calif., Juan Garibay of Tiajuana, Mexico, and Jose Maria Garibay of Mexico; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, with a recitation of the rosary following at 6 p.m., at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
Carolyn J. Sudmeier
Carolyn Jean Sudmeier, 76, of Yakima died Tuesday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. Mrs. Sudmeier was born in Mondamin, Iowa. In 1976 she returned to nursing and worked as a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital, retiring in 1998.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Henry Sudmeier of Yakima; three sons, P. Michael Sudmeier of Bozman, Md., Patrick Sudmeier of Basalt, Colo., and Mark Sudmeier of Bend, Ore.; a daughter, Ann Marie Grimm of Bellingham, Wash; two sisters, Rita Worley and Lois Carmody of Omaha, Neb.; a brother Roger Spooner of Mondamin, Iowa; and three grandchildren.
A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Private family concluding services will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.
Roberta J. Turcott
Roberta Jean Turcott, 80, of Wapato died Tuesday in Yakima. Mrs. Turcott was born in Atascadero, Calif.
Survivors include her husband, Willard Turcott; two sons, Matthew Turcott of Everett, Wash., and Huston Turcott of Yakima; two daughters, Rhoda Benson of Zillah and Melisa Turcott Strongheart of Seattle; a brother, George Work of San Miguel, Calif.; a sister, Johnita Fisher of Lancaster, Calif.; and six granddaughters.
Memorial services are pending. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral and Crematory of Yakima.
Belle Broom
Belle Broom, 86, of Yakima died Monday. Mrs. Broom was born in Yakima and worked as an office manager in a doctor's office.
Survivors include a son, Maurice Broom of Olympia; a daughter, Kathy Broom of Yakima; a brother, Phillip Huff of Vancouver, Wash.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory.
