Irene I. Kaiser passed away peacefully on June 23, 2009, at the age of 89 years young following a long battle with Alzheimers disease. She was born in Mandan, North Dakota to Elmer and Mamie Weeden. She married Wilber C. Kaiser on October 27, 1939, in Toppenish, Washington, where they resided until 1960. In the same year they moved to Seattle following a job promotion for her husband. In 1973 they moved to Spokane for his job and finally retirement in 1980. They moved back to Toppenish in 1987. She was an active member of the Mount Adams Golf and Country Club and member of the Ladies Golf Team.
Irene enjoyed golf, gardening, watching the Seattle Supersonics and spending time with family and friends. In her younger years she served as a Cub Scout Den Mother and a Blue Bird/Campfire leader.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Mamie Weeden, her loving husband of 49 years, Wilber C. Kaiser, sisters Franklin Hansen and Georgia Houser, brother Bill Weeden, son Dewayne Kaiser, daughter Karen (Kaiser) Cupples, and granddaughters Kelley Kaiser and Stacey Cupples.
She is survived by her three children Dean Kaiser, Dennis Kaiser, and Debra (Debbie) Kaiser, and three grandchildren Shelley Kaiser, Brian (BJ) Kaiser, and Derrick Cupples.
Graveside services will be held June 27th at 11:00 AM at the Zillah Cemetery.
