Pearl Evelyn Burch
Pearl Evelyn Burch, 95, of Sunnyside died Friday. Mrs. Burch was born in McCune, Kan., and moved to Sunnyside in 1943. A year later, she returned to Kansas to marry Charles Victor Burch. They farmed in Kansas until 1957, when they moved to Sunnyside and opened Coast to Coast Hardware.
Survivors include a brother, Louis Paul Krauter of Sunnyside, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, also at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.
Wilma H. Smith
Wilma H. Smith, 77, of Selah died Thursday. She was born in Frankfort, Kan., and moved to the Yakima Valley when she was 8 years old. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Arlene Johnson of Selah; three stepsons, Raymond Smith, Robert Young and Dennis Tatum; a stepdaughter Kathy Smith, 28 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at the Merritt Funeral Home in Wapato. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, also at Merritt Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Reservation Community Memorial Park.
