At 5 a.m. Mike Fernandez heads from his Naches home to a vanpool van driven by Justin Tornow as the two head to work at the White Pass ski area. They will pick up two co-workers at Rimrock Retreat on the way to the pass. They formed a vanpool in May to help lower their costs of commuting to work at the pass.
