Walk of life for East Valley High School graduate

East Valley High School senior Shanna Patnode walks with a walker to her last class period of the day Friday, June 4, 2010. Patnode, 19, underwent surgery for a brain tumor in the sixth grade and complications afterward affected her walking, left arm, hearing, speech and throat. She was in a wheelchair when she entered high school and was able to begin walking her senior year. She plans to walk to get her diploma during graduation.
