GORDON KING/Yakima Herald-Republic Eric Snider, the creator of the "Burl the Squirrel" cartoon character, has a sack of squirrel food in his workspace at a Washington state Department of Transportation office in Yakima. The food was given to Snider by one of his bosses and Snider plans to feed it to the squirrels outside his office.
