The price of breads and pastries is rising because of the high cost of flour. Josh Chandler pulls a tray of just-baked Sicilian bread from the oven early on a recent morning at the Buhrmaster Bakery in Selah. The price of flour has doubled in the past year and the bakery has been forced to raise the price of its bread by 50 cents and pastries by 25 cents. The high cost of flour "makes it pretty tough right now," says owner Larry Buhrmaster.
