Brenden Adams arrives at Children's Hospital, having to duck to get through the doorway, arriving with his mom, Debbie Ezell at right, his brother, and step dad, Sam Ezell, at far right. The Ellensburg boy stands at 7'3", having been diagnosed with pericentric inversion of the 12th chromosome, which regulates growth and development of the human body. In his short life, he's had a heart condition, arthritis in his enlarged joints and 12 teeth removed. Last year he underwent an experimental treatment to speed up puberty so that his growth plates would fuse together and stop him from growing bigger. Recently, he had his over-enlarged spleen (it was the size of a football) removed at Seattle's Children's Hospital.
