Virtual meetings are more cost effective! Why travel at all? In this era of online public schools, webcasting, and Freespace, there is no reason for taxpayers to fund travel. Each school should have a web enabled conference room, which can serve a myriad of purposes. My question is why the obvious alternative isn't mentioned in the article, particularly in a state where most residents claim to be web savy.
