I can't believe what I just read in Mr. Yost's letter! I suppose him and those like him support Hugo Chavez and Castro?
It isn't [runaway] Capitalism that's destroying things, it's our straying from it that is. A big Government that is out of control and bound and determined to make this a Socialistic/Marxist nation that is taking it to the dumps.
I urge Mr Yost and those that feel as he does to perhaps leave America and move to France or another location in Europe. Maybe even Russia. There they don't have to worry about the evils of capitalism.

Mr Yost, please don't forget the words of William Clinton who said that an attack never feed a starving child.

Unfortunately, with the printed media leading the way with former newspaper owners such as Jim Flint, using their advantage to express their personal views while reporting them as "news", Mr. Yost may have a point. With the nation's cheerleaders being the leading mass-media preaching the same tripe, it will be no wonder if we are drug kicking and screaming into full-fledged socialism before the next decade is over.

The government is "out of control", heh...look who has been in power for the last 8 years.

Orpheus...1980 called and wants their letter back. When did the Soviet Union and their communism collapse? The last I checked, France was a democracy.

I really dislike that "America: Love it or Leave it" saying. Apparently "fixing it" is not an option.

johnny99: Yes, fixing it is an option, just not towards Socialism or communism. Again I say, "Love it or leave it".
And the soviet union did collapse, during those 80's you said wanted their letter back. Unfortunetly the government still holds power which is where we are headed like a rocket shooting downhill.

"The government still holds power". What on earth do you mean? Russia is a federation. Russia's has a flat tax on personal income of 13%! That is hardly socialist/communist.

Argh, on a side note, I'm with francesgumm on this one...the text entry box for comments is way to small for proofreading.

guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one Johnny.
I will agree with you on one thing though, the side box. Would be nice to be able to proofread and correct spelling and wordings or edit entries for such.
