YAKIMA, Wash. -- After 22 years at the Scarborough Fair shopping center at Ninth and Summitview avenues, Boehm’s Candy is heading west.

The shop, which is a retail outlet for the Boehm’s-brand candy that is made in Issaquah, Wash., will be moving to Chalet Place on 56th and Summitview avenues. It will be located next to the state liquor store.

Co-owner Sharon Vance said that the shop was ready for a change. With many of their existing customers in West Valley, it was best to move there. In addition, the new spot will have better visibility with its proximity to Summitview Avenue.

“We want to put some new life and excitement in the Boehm’s Candy store,” Vance said.

The space is current being remodeled. Vance said she hopes the shop will be at the new location by the beginning of June.
