New food and drink establishments coming

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I know I did. I should have these four-day weekends more often.

But of course, coming back to work meanings giving you what’s new in the shopping and retail world.

• There’s a sign posted at the former Simon Gallery space that an Italian deli will be opening soon. I didn’t catch the name since I was driving by, but I’ll get back to you with the exact spelling of the name.

As we have mentioned in the past, Kristie Burrill, which briefly opened a boutique here, is now selling her clothes with P’Kabu, another clothing boutique at Chalet Place on 56th and Summitview avenues. http://www.yakimaherald.com/stories/2009/02/03/local-designer-clothing-shop-to-join-forces

• Taste of Washington will be opening its doors soon. It looks like the new business, which was in the former downtown location of Masset Winery, will feature four wineries, microbrews and chocolates. It even has a dance floor. Sounds interesting. Anyway, I’ll get more details on the opening date and get back to you.  http://www.yakimaherald.com/stories/2009/01/05/taste-of-washington-to-replace-masset-winery-downtown
