ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- Rick Steves, a television host, writer and producer, will speak about his recent travels to Iran at Central Washington University on Thursday.
The talk, “Iran, Yesterday and Today,” will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Building Concert Hall. Reserved seats are $25 and general admission is $15. Students are admitted free with identification.
Best known for "Europe Through the Back Door," Steves is an expert at teaching others how to travel well and inexpensively.
Through books, syndicated news columns, and television and radio shows, he gives the new and seasoned traveler alike a broad, experienced perspective on how to see the world on a budget — while encouraging travelers to be unafraid of new experiences while visiting foreign countries.

The event is part of Central’s Performing Arts and Presidential Speaker Series.
