YAKIMA, Wash. -- It’s official.
Eleven Davis High School students have successfully completed the requirements to receive a full International Baccalaureate diploma.
The 2009 full IB graduates, awarded by the International Baccalaureate Organization, are: Alexa Celerian, Geoffrey Smith, Marshall Hurson, Francis Sziebert, Kate Kunkel-Patterson, Jasen Valenzuela, Ashley Larson, Alfredo Villasenor, Ethan Maier, Christopher Wessel and Jaqueline Manjarrez.
To receive a full IB Diploma, students had to test in six different subject areas, score more than 24 points, write an extended essay of 2,500 to 4,000 words, and complete at least 150 creativity, action and service hours.
Another 29 students tested successfully in three to six IB subject areas. They are: Shannon Bedell, Allison Kunze, Shahida Choudary, Benjamin Jach, Hilaryann Erlandson, Kelly McLaughlin, Maria Espinosa, Jesus Mora, Maxon Foster, Eliana Macias, Pedro Galindo, Caitlin Malone, Jose Gaona, Janet Moreno-Anuario, Andres Garza, Ariezna Muniz, Octavio Gomez, Daneil Newcomb, Gregory Hata, Pedro Pacheco, Adan Hernandez, Sara Pittman, Danny Herrera, Alexis Rushing, Lisa Hoge, Jessica Sachara, Catherine Kendrick, Jerad Valenzuela and Samantha Knittle.
