YAKIMA, Wash. -- Cheryl Hahn, director of the Larson Gallery at Yakima Valley Community College, recently received the Washington Community College Humanities Association (WCCHA) Exemplary Status Award.

Each year, the WCCHA recognizes several faculty and community members for their contributions to the humanities. This award was presented to Hahn during an Oct. 16 awards banquet in Longview.

Hahn has worked as director of the Larson Gallery since 2006. The association said she has successfully enhanced the reputation and the importance of the humanities in Washington through her enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism.

The WCCHA exists to promote effective, inventive and vital humanities instruction by Washington state community and technical college’s instructors.
